"ArtWORKS" by Randall Standridge
The Golden Cougar Band of Pride is getting ready to march into the 2023 season as we perform our show,
ArtWORKS: An Experience in Color
If you plan on marching with us this year it's important you let us know right away so we know how many people to plan on. Whether you are new or a returning member, please fill out the form at the below link to let us know you are in for 2023.

After you register, you can download all of the mandatory paperwork at the bottom of this page. This paperwork must be turned in by the start of Band Camp to participate. We will have a paperwork night on Friday, July 21st from 6pm-8pm in the Band Room. This would be the best time to turn in paperwork and we will have a notary if you need one. You can also mail it to GCBB, P.O. Box 14923, Clearwater, FL 33766-4923, but if we do not have it in hand by the start of Band Camp, your student's participation will be delayed. Students may bring it to Band Camp, but it will delay their start.
The 2023 Fair Share Fee is $500, but this fee can be made in payments and will need to be paid in full by September 1st. Remember, all of the things we do have a cost, and fundraising only goes so far. Without your fair share payment we could not make it through the season. If you have any challenges with the fair share fee you can reach out to Mr. Brown at [email protected] to see how the Boosters can help you. Remember, volunteers with 75 + hours of service to the band during the previous year who have submitted the volunteer log to the Volunteer Coordinator may pay a discounted rate of $425. Volunteer Logs can be found on the Volunteer Page.
Every new member will receive 1 Practice Shirt, 1 Polo Shirt, 1 pair of gloves (if applicable) and 1 pair of Marching Shoes. Returning students would already have all of these things. Extra shirts and gloves as well as new shoes if you have outgrown your old ones will be available for order as well at an additional cost. The uniform order form is in the packet.
EXCITING NEWS - We are going back to the Florida Marching Band Championships on November 11th. This is a 2 part competition where bands from around the state compete locally at different host high schools in their divisional semifinals in the morning, and then the top 5 from each division perform again in the finals that night at a major venue in the Tampa Bay area (TBD - previously held at the Trop) We have submitted our school as a possible venue for the 1A semifinals! We hosted the 2A semifinals before the FMBC moved out of Tampa Bay and are hoping to get the competition back as it is a major opportunity for our band program. We will keep you informed once a decision is made.
Welcome back Band of Pride, let's make 2023 the best year yet!
